Technical Frequently Asked Questions
Engineering answers for project review and tender scoping. Detailed CCTV data, host conduit condition, and client specifications define the final methodology.
What Australian standards and compliance specifications do your systems meet?
Our trenchless lining materials and installation procedures strictly comply with Australian industry standards, including AS/NZS 4020 compliance for applications interfacing with potable water systems. All liner builds, resins, and seals are tested to recognized industry benchmarks to ensure chemical resistance, structural integrity, and asset safety.
How do UV-CIPP and localized patch systems restore asset structural integrity?
Our UV-cured structural liner delivers a standalone "pipe within a pipe" that restores host pipe capacity without reducing hydraulic efficiency. For localized defects, precision fiberglass matting and engineered silicate resin patches seal cracks, arrest ground infiltration, and provide targeted structural reinforcement without the expense of full-length intervention.
What pipeline diameter ranges and asset profiles can FastFlow rehabilitate?
We service conduit diameters ranging from DN50 up to DN2000 and beyond:
• UV-Cured Structural Relining: DN70 to DN2000+
• Silicate & Fiberglass Point Repairs: DN50 to DN1800 (Civil assets DN150–DN1800)
• Robotic Cutting & Milling: DN50 to DN800
• Polyurethane Spray Lining: DN50 to DN600
• Geopolymer & Cementitious Lining: Large-diameter trunk lines, pits, and man-entry chambers
When are stainless steel mechanical repair sleeves recommended?
Stainless steel mechanical sleeve systems with integrated rubber seals are deployed for acute localized failures—such as joint displacement, longitudinal fractures, or heavy exfiltration/infiltration. They offer immediate structural support and watertight mechanical locking without curing delays.
How do you prepare conduits with severe calcification, concrete ingress, or tree roots?
Prior to lining, we execute high-pressure water jetting alongside robotic cutting and milling equipment (DN50–DN800). Our remote cutters grind away hard concrete deposits, invasive roots, and solid intrusions to reinstate the original internal bore and re-open junction connections post-lining.
What Quality Assurance (QA) documentation is provided upon completion?
Every project receives comprehensive QA documentation, including pre- and post-rehabilitation crawler CCTV footage, condition reporting, and installation records. These deliverables give asset owners, councils, and principal contractors full proof of compliance for formal asset sign-off.
How does FastFlow reduce traffic disruption and operational downtime?
All operations deploy 100% trenchlessly through existing manholes or access shafts, eliminating street-level excavation, pavement destruction, and spoil handling. Fast-acting technologies like UV curing and rapid-cure spray systems return critical stormwater, sewer, and live-corridor pipelines to service with minimal operational disruption.
